The Bill (Reg. No.2474) envisages establishment of a number of benefits and social safeguards for the families with many children since 1 January 2010. Thus, families with many children that have three and more under-age children are granted benefits concerning payment for housing, utility services, purchase of liquefied gas, obtainment of lax credit for construction (reconstruction) and purchase of housing. Pursuant to the Bill, an aid on temporary disability is to be paid at the rate of 100 per cent from an average wage irregardless of the service record.
The Committee members upheld the legislative initiative. However, the Bill on Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine concerning Social Protection of Families with Many Children (Reg. No. 2448), submitted by the President of Ukraine, is being scrutinized at The Verkhovna Rada. It envisages relevant social safeguards and benefits to the families with three and more children.
The Committee recommends that the Profile Committee unites the Bill in question with the Bill on Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine concerning Social Protection of Families with Many Children (Reg. No. 2448), preparing the Bill to the Second Reading.
